Wheelchair Service

To allow your airline to make arrangements prior to your arrival at the airport, you should indicate when you book your flight to what extent your mobility may be limited. If required, your airline can request wheelchair service for you. This service will take you from the departure area to the plane, from the plane to the arrival area, or, in case of a connecting flight, from one plane to another.

In some cases, boarding a plane or deplaning may require your removal from your own or from the airport-owned wheelchair you are using. You will be transferred to a special transport wheel chair that will be small enough to roll down the aircraft’s narrow aisles. Your own wheelchair will be handed over to service staff, who will transport it free of charge in the plane’s hold.
