Munich means business!
As a business location, Munich has for years consistently earned top rankings from leading business journals and business institutes. Benchmark tests confirm that Munich is
well able to compete in today's international arena.
The Bavarian capital is home to some 80,000 companies who employ more than 900,000 people. The Empirica research organization rates the Munich region as Germany's strongest
business location in terms of its active population.
Empirica's trend researchers also predict that, by 2015, a further 60,000 people will have been added to the region's current active population.
A forward-looking economic policy, local residents' keen interest in technology and innovation, a highly motivated work force and excellent educational and training
facilities have convinced global players of the caliber of Allianz, BMW, EADS, General Electric, GlaxoSmithKline, Hypo Real Estate, IBM, Infineon, Intel, M.A.N.,
Microsoft, Munich Re, O2, Philip Morris, Siemens and Sony BMG that Munich is the right place for them. No fewer than seven of the 30 companies listed in the DAX index of
Germany's blue-chip enterprises are headquartered in Munich.
This site tells you how you too can benefit from this economic powerhouse on the River Isar. Munich really does mean business!
