Festive Advent Music at the Marienplatz

Every evening, at 5.30 p.m., Christmas carols fill the air from the balcony of the Town Hall. The musical moment offers a pause for thought and a little introspection amidst the hustle and bustle of the Marienplatz.

The Christmas Market Logo
A star shining bright above the twin towers of the Frauenkirche (Church of our Lady): since 1995, this has been the official logo of the Munich Christmas Market, to be seen on numerous items that have since traveled around the world: mugs and bottles of Gluehwein, candles and wax figures, linen shopping bags and much, much more. The Christmas Market magazine with up-to-date information is available from the stalls and the Tourist Office's information booths.
