Feringasee, which is located in the northern part of Munich, can be reached by train with the S8, exit at Unterföhring. After you've got off the train, it's just a ten minute walk until you reach your destination.
This lake maintains a high water quality and is relatively close to the city's centre; just two reasons why Feringasee remains a Munich favourite. It also has two beach volleyball courts, a large and secluded area reserved for nudists, and plenty of open ground surrounding the 32 hectare lake.
If you're looking to get some exercise, Feringasee can also be reached by bike. Just follow the paths that run north along the Isar River. There are maps and signs posted along the way, so there is no need to worry about getting lost.
