Publications and Literary Journals

In the following we provide an overview of all literary journals published in Greater Munich. They cost between 4 to 12 Euro and are usually available at book stores or can be ordered from the publisher's website (see links below).

The three issues per year present international and German literature to a German speaking public. Short stories, poetry, novel fragments make up two thirds, the last third are essays about events in and around Munich and book reviews.

This journal, issued every second month, concentrates on poetry and short fiction. Everybody is welcome to send in manuscripts. The journal documents the development of modernism in literature and puts German post-war literature in an international context.

The two issues per year publish poetry by contemporary German speaking authors as first publications only; the essay part publishes essays on an international level, discussing the present state of literature in its relation to society. Good poetry by readers is featured too, all manuscripts that are received will be read.
