Munich College for Film and Television
The "Hochschule für Fernsehen und Film (HFF)" in Munich is a state college of university status, conducting academic research and practical education of producers and film makers. Courses include cinema, TV, cinematography and a postgraduate course in film criticism. The college is the co-organiser of the annual international festival of film colleges.
The Film museum and the Munich College for Film and Television hold an international festival of film colleges every year in the last week of November. An independent jury of experts selects films from film colleges and presents them to boost creative interaction between young film makers from all over the world and the public. Prizes are awarded to competitors from Germany and abroad. Apart from the film programme, other events take place to help students to establish international networks and connections.
