Chinesischer Turm

Restaurant am Chinesischen Turm München

The modern cooking concept ensures culinary variety in the Restaurant am Chinesischen Turm. A look at the menu reveals what this means: from regional, time-honoured and internationally refined creations – the spectrum ranges from the spinach salad with strips of peeled oranges and lemons in shallot sherry to grilled entrecôte with baby zucchinis and potatoes au gratin. Anyone who prefers more traditional food can enjoy such classics as crispy roast pork with potato dumplings and coleslaw. The taste experience will be completed with one of the choice wines from the wine menu. As a very reasonably priced alternative at mid-day there is a lunch that changes daily for €6.90.

Restaurant am Chinesischen Turm

The bright rooms are tastefully designed and invite you to a friendly Mediterranean atmosphere – and in the summer, when the terrace is open, you can enjoy a direct view of the Chinese Tower. To also satisfy the hunger of the people of Munich for art and culture the team has thought up something very special: exhibitions of Munich artists as well as outstanding series of events enrich your visit. At all times the connection to the traditional location of the restaurant in the English Garden remains at the centre.

Chinesischer Turm

You can always discover something new around the restaurant: for example, on the third Sunday in July from 6 o'clock in the morning the historic open-air "Kocherlball", a special traditional dance event, takes place at the Chinese Tower. In Advent – the four weeks before Christmas – Munich's romantic Christmas Market attracts crowds taking an enjoyable walk among the stalls. If you want to crown everything you should book a trip by horse-drawn coach through the English Garden followed by a meal in the restaurant. Thus your visit turns into a wonderful experience. In the Restaurant am Chinesischen Turm the guest can confidently expect more than just a good meal – he can be sure to be in for a pleasant surprise.
