Welcome - or "Grüß Gott" - to the Hofbräukeller!

Munich hospitality and Bavaria's beer tradition come together at the Hofbräukeller at the Wiener Platz. For over one hundred years the people of Munich and their guests from all over the world have met here in the district of Haidhausen to enjoy the pleasant Hofbräu beer and delicious titbits.

There's no need to mention the beer. The Hofbräu Brewery is quite rightly world-famous. The Hofbräukeller's cuisine will surprise you with its Bavarian specialities at an affordable price. All the main dishes are available for €5.55 at the most. That's why so many people allow themselves one more tasty beer.

When the weather permits, the idyllic beer garden tempts you to a beer and a snack. Beneath the ancient chestnut trees the guests relax in a real cosy Munich atmosphere.

The smart building in neo-Renaissance style is not just the Hofbräukeller with its rustic taproom.

In the basement the Maratonga Café with dancing invites all those who still feel young onto the dance floor, and one floor below that the Valentin-Karlstadt Theatre performs pieces featuring the beloved pair of Munich comedians.

For festive events, whether for the family or business, the Small Hall and the Large Hall on the top floor can be reserved. The landlord, Steinberg, and his wife will be glad to advise you individually – from the menu and decorations to the entertainment.

Great importance is attached to family-friendliness: every day from noon to 8 pm (at weekends from 10 am) the Children's Land is open with somebody in charge. Here children can play and romp around, while their parents enjoy their meal in peace and quiet.
