In the heart of Munich there is a piece of Italy: the restaurant of the luxury hotel The Charles bears the promising name of the Davvero, which means roughly “real” or “genuine”. The specialities of chef Giovanni Russo which the guest enjoys in a stylish ambience are also genuinely divine.

The Mediterranean design of the restaurant creates the pleasantly southern atmosphere as do the original Italian dishes that are offered in the Davvero. With its six-metre high windows framed in bronze, the restaurant is wonderfully airy and spacious. The oak floor lends a relaxed atmosphere and warmth to the bright room, and the combination of leather and velvet, out of antique crystal chandeliers and photographs, turns the restaurant into a total art work. Just as unique as the interior is the view that opens up to the guest outside on the sunroof : at lunch in the sunshine, over a cup of coffee at mid-day or enjoying a small glass at the open-air bar, your gaze wanders across the luxuriant green of the Old Botanic Gardens.

For special occasions and events the Davvero makes a private dining room available which you can use for yourself undisturbed with a select group of friends or colleagues and avail yourself of the amenities of the restaurant for yourself.

The perfect start to the day turns out well with the lavish breakfast buffet that is served every day - for certain. At midday the restaurant offers in addition a business lunch consisting of two courses according to your choice and a coffee. On Sundays and public holidays the little guests are the centre of attention, when Charly’s Kids Club provides entertainment for the bambini while the adults are still eating at the table.
