Rustic, cozy and charmingly up-to-date – in the Wöllinger Wirtshaus traditional lifestyle meets modern trend, Bavarian delicacies meet international cuisine and young meet old. The tavern which is over one hundred years old is a genuine institution of the Sendling quarter. In 2011 it was carefully renovated, in order to preserve its original charm and authentic flair. The result is a modern Bavarian inn which casually bridges the gap between traditional corner pub and modern hip gastronomy including a beer garden shaded by chestnut trees.

The managers perceive their place as communication platform for guests from near and far. Their menu testifies to successful understanding beyond the Bavarian borders. Hearty liver dumpling soup, crisp pork roast in dark beer sauce and escalope are complemented by dishes such as fillet of beef, Mediterranean specialties and burgers. The meals are served with beer in a stein or cocktails which are invariably available at the favorable price of EUR 4.90. During the week the Wöllinger offers regularly changing lunch menus and on the week-end breakfast is served from 10am to 4pm. The family brunch on Sundays and holidays is a real highlight. Here the menu leaves nothing to be desired and ranges from cereal and warm dishes that vary every week to a wide selection of desserts. This event is as popular as the seats around the crackling open fireplace.

The Wöllinger Wirtshaus can accommodate about 180 persons. In summer the same number of people can be seated at the large wooden tables under the shady chestnut trees in the beer garden. Those who would like to enjoy a meal together with their families or a number of friends, those who would like to party hearty and those who would like to organize a festive event are as welcome as avid soccer friends. The latter group of visitors can view all Bavarian Champions League, World Cup and European Championship matches on two big screens.
