This traditional restaurant "Zum Spöckmeier", founded in 1450 at Marienplatz, is one of the first of its kind in Munich. Its original Bavarian cuisine and a butcher's shop on the premises have made Spöckmeier a permanent institution in the centre of Munich. That the Stiftl family also take their cue from the pulse of the times is proved by their flair for combining tradition and modern elements.
