Dinner Experience

Dinner and Entertainment

What is there left to do when all the beer gardens are closed at the end of the season and the Oktoberfest is over? There is quite a lot - several venues in Munich offer an exciting evening with good food and exceptional entertainment. Whether you prefer nouvelle cuisine or traditional, down-to-earth Bavarian food, the finest wines or rather home-brewed beer: there is something for your taste - just give it a go.

Welser Kuche im Feldherrnkeller
It is possible to travel back in time - at least if you wish to go back to the Middle Ages and take part at a banquet. During this 3-hour-long meal (you can choose between 4, 6 and 10 courses) you are expected to stick to medieval table manners for a genuine experience. Reservation required.

Fast Food Theater
This restaurant does not serve fast food at all, but you had better eat within the 90 minutes between admission and the start of the performance in order not to miss any detail of the exciting programme: stand-up comedy and improvisation theatre will otherwise distract you from your delicious meal. And beware - you might find youself in the centre of everybody's attention since the audience takes an active part...

Dreigroschenkeller
This cellar restaurant is entirely dedicated to Bertold Brecht and Kurt Weill's famous "Threepenny Opera": it is decorated with items from the stage setting, and several times a week students of music dress up to perform songs from the opera. But all that cannot distract the staff from serving delicious but down-to-earth food and home-brewed beer.
