Rothenburg ob der Tauber is the famous former imperial town on the Romantic Road which runs through a region rich in cultural heritage from Würzburg to Füssen. After the Second World War the medieval town was almost completely reconstructed. Thus the town is surrounded by fortifications still today. The center is formed by the town hall which is characterized by three epochs of style (Gothic, Renaissance, Baroque) and the church of St. Jakob with its high altar and holy blood altar.
