Welcome to the Munich-Thalkirchen camping site

The famous Hellabrunn Zoo almost outside the door of your tent, from your camper walk to the "Maria Einsiedel" outdoor swimming pool with its river landscape and heated pool, and the city centre is only ten minutes away by underground: as idyllic as it is convenient for transport, the Munich-Thalkirchen Camping Site is located in the nature reserve by the southern water meadows of the River Isar.

In the surroundings there are attractive jogging and cycle tracks and places for worthwhile excursions, such as the lakes Starnberger See, Ammersee and Chiemsee or the royal castles and palaces. In the immediate vicinity of the camping grounds you will find not only three of the most popular beer gardens – Flaucher, Menterschwaige and the Waldwirtschaft Grosshesselohe – but also numerous other attractions, for example Maria Thalkirchen (a pilgrimage church), the Asam-Schlössl (restaurant and beer garden), the climbing grounds of the German Alpine Society (DAV), the raft landing stage or the film studios in Geiselgasteig with the "Bavaria Filmtours".

• The camping ground is open from mid-March to the end of October
• Office hours: 7 a.m. to 11 p.m.
• Vehicles may enter up to 11 p.m.
• Departure possible every day from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the latest
• Self-service shop open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
• Snack bar from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.
• Maximum stay: 14 days
