4 spots for your perfect sauna day in Munich
Feel like you're in Finland at Michaelibad
That's why we love this sauna: Because we feel like we're in Finland! The special finnish outdoor sauna is unique in Munich: With 100 years old, untreated kelo-wood from Northern Scandinavia, the cabin was built in a mound. Once you sit around the large stone stove in the middle, you will realise: The sauna session won't be more authentic - at least outside Scandinavia.
Overview of the highlights: The sauna extends over two floors - the upper one is completely at your disposal for relaxing. In the hut outside, the finnish sauna (80°C) awaits you. The large rock crystal in the sanarium (60°C) is worth a visit as well - in combination with the changing light you will find the perfect place to relax. Some like it hot: Another indoor sauna heats up to 95°C.
Sauna session with Art Nouveau flair at the Müller'schen Volksbad
That's why we love this sauna: Because of its architecture! You won't find a more stylish ambience anywhere in Munich. A large dome arches over the main area. The bathtubs and shower baths in the Volksbad date back to a time when the luxury of one's own bathroom was even rarer.
Overview of the highlights: Here you will find, among other things, a Roman-Irish sweat bath - with steam room and cascade fountain. But also the Finnish classic is offered in the Müller'sches Volksbad. Afterwards you can cool down in style, e.g. in the so-called "iron virgin". Sounds scary? It's a semi-circular shower with metal pipes from which cold water splashes from bottom to top.
The full monty at Prinzregentenbad
That's why we love this sauna: Prinzregentenbad incorporates almost a complete "Day Spa". No need to go to the expensive wellness hotel - just come to Bogenhausen and try the all-in-one-solution.
Overview of the highlights: In addition to the log cabin, Finnish sauna, sanarium and steam bath, there is also space for a whirlpool, a wellness area with various massage offers and an integrated yoga studio on a proud 1,300 square metres. You need a haircut? No problem, a hairdresser is also on site...
Shining stars at Dantebad
That's why we love this sauna: it is enormously versatile (see highlights) and after the sauna session you can still take 50-metre lengths in the heated pool of the Dantebad in the fresh air.
Overview of the highlights: At Dantebad you will find, among other things, a finnish log sauna, a steam bath, Kneipp area, Foot spa, Open-air garden with blockhouse sauna , Large plunge pool, Sanarium with colored lights.
