The Social Business Challenge jury consists of the Social Business Challenge team and one representative each of One Young World, the City of Munich, Yunus Social Business, FASE and BonVenture. They will review applicants and put their attention to your project, if you apply. One Young World ambassadors initiated the challenge.
Managing Director and Executive Board Member of One Young World
Alex Bellotti is MD and Executive Board Member of One Young World, the global forum for young leaders. Alex oversees partnerships, acting as the global point of contact for senior level stakeholders at partner organisations. Alex is a strong advocate of social justice and a firm believer in the role the private sector can play in addressing the unequal distribution of resources and opportunities in society today. As an international speaker, he has featured in some of the world's most prestigious events. In 2019, he spoke at the UN during the General Assembly in New York and at the Enactus World Cup Finals in California.
Impact Investor, Board Member and Executive Coach
Karen Hitschke is an Impact Investor, Board Member and Executive Coach, with two big passions: investing in and supporting young businesses that serve society and the environment, and empowering the next generation of female leaders.
As Board Member and former Managing Director of Yunus Social Business Global Initiatives, Karen focuses on funding social businesses in the Global South, spanning various sectors such as environment, healthcare, education, or agriculture. In addition, Karen is a board member of UnCap, an impact fund financing sub-Saharan entrepreneurs at scale, and advisor to Auxxo, a European venture capital fund with an exclusive focus on female founders. As Executive Coach, Karen supports start-up entrepreneurs and young female professionals in their personal growth.
Startup consultant, Department of Labor and Economic Development, City of Munich
In her role as startup consultant at the Economic Development Department of the City of Munich Marie-Louise is helping citizens to set up their own business and to optimise their planning for self-employment. For the last years she has been looking after the social business start-up scene, which is becoming more and more significant in Munich. Marie-Louise is very much looking forward to the social business challenge where innovative solutions will be developed for demanding local challenges.

As Co-founder of FASE (Financing Agency for Social Entrepreneurship GmbH) Ellinor contributes her broad network of investors, multiplyers and supporters as well as her extensive marketing & fundraising knowledge to build a pool of engaged impact investors.
We are One Young World ambassadors from Munich. We all had the chance to participate at one of the OYW Summits. This experience strengthens our urge to make this world a better place and to take action.
So, here is our mission:
Support local (social) business entrepreneurs focusing on solving social and environmental challenges sustainably, in the region of Munich, by giving voice to innovators and connecting them with the outstanding OYW network.
Sarah is working as a business specialist at MINI and as Director Europe of URBAN-X, expanding the reach of URBAN-X throughout Europe and Asia. She is the co-founder of an online magazine and worked in the start-up scene before joining MINI. She participated at the One Young World Summit in Bogotà 2017 and is passionate about technology, entrepreneurship, sustainability and city improvement.
After having worked in Marketing for many years, Verena now holds the position as CSR & Sustainability Manager at the Motel One Group. She participated at the One Young World Summit in London 2019 and is since a One Young World Ambassador. In 2020 she completed the Certificate in Sustainability Leadership from Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership.
Sabrina is working as a Senior IT Consultant at Sopra Steria SE. Prior to this she has been working for an innovative Start-Up in the field of Big Data applications for infrastructure development. She is passionate about sustainability, environment & technology and participated in the OYW Summit in London 2019.
In her role as Senior Manager Human Relations, Sarah is responsible for employer branding and recruiting across Europe for Motel One and also works in employee development. She combines her love for marketing and branding with a strong focus on people and their development. She participated at the One Young World Summit in London 2019 and is a One Young World Ambassador.
Wanessa is a social entrepreneur and communications specialist from Brazil. After years of work in communications, she found her passion, purpose and a new career path in social innovation. She's the founder and CEO of the Munich based social startup Trustloop.
One Young World and OYW Ambassadors network
OYW is a global forum for young leaders from different countries and sectors, providing a platform for their stories to be told. The aim is to develop solutions for some of the world's most pressing challenges. The annual OYW summits attract attention from local, regional and international media, bringing together bright young makers from all around the world and empowering them to make long-lasting connections and developing solutions.
Being part of an OYW Summit, all delegates become OYW Ambassadors, joining a network of more than 10,000 young leaders from 190+ countries. OYW Ambassadors work on their own initiatives or lend the power of the OYW network to existing projects.
