Leisure activities on the lake
There are many reasons why this lake is popular with the people of Munich. It has two beach volleyball courts, a large and secluded area reserved for nudists, and plenty of open ground surrounding the 32 hectare lake.
If you're looking to get some exercise, Feringasee can also be reached by bike. Just follow the paths that run north along the Isar River. There are maps and signs posted along the way, so there is no need to worry about getting lost.
Water quality
The Bavarian State Office for Health and Food Safety (LGL) continuously carries out tests of the water quality of Bavarian bathing lakes. During the season, from mid-May to mid-September, the water is even checked monthly.
