Alpine Museum Munich: What's on offer on the Praterinsel
For over 100 years, the Alpine Museum of the German Alpine Association on Munich's Praterinsel has been providing information about the world of mountains. The museum was destroyed in the Second World War, but it was refurbished and reopened in 1996 by the German Alpine Association and since then offers:

- Insights into the stories of important mountaineers and heroes of alpine skiing

The Alpine Museum is located on Praterinsel 5. It can best be reached through public transport with the S-Bahn to the Isartor station and then a short walk along the river bank of the Isar.
