Lenbachhaus in Munich is known internationally for its large collection of works from the group of artists known as the “Blaue Reiter” (Blue Rider).

Its representatives include Franz Marc, Gabriele Münter, and Wassily Kandinski. Works of art and sculpture are on display in a gorgeous house that was built in the Mediterranean style. Connected to this museum is the Kunstbau, whose exhibit space is located underground next to the Königsplatz subway station.
