More than 150 exhibits of music history, regular concerts and authentic American cuisine with a Bavarian touch – at the Hard Rock Cafe at Platzl square, right in the heart of the old town and directly opposite the Hofbräuhaus rock fans will have the time of their lives. Since March 2011 the Munich branch of the Hard Rock Cafe presents itself with an entirely new design.

Nine years after its opening the Hard Rock Cafe München offers more than ever to discover in addition to cool music: Bright modern materials, light installations and the incorporation of typically Bavarian touches provide the restaurant with a bright new face. The exhibition of music memorabilia has been turned to the flipside: The “old” exhibits have made room for items like the white bustier which Madonna wore during her 1985 world tour for the legendary album “Like a Virgin”. The Munich location also presents memorabilia of hot German bands and artists. Jan Delay, Adel Tawil from ich+ich, Gentleman or for example Silbermond have already donated their treasures.

The spacious restaurant (311 m²) and the long bar invite guests to enjoy a meal, sip a cocktail and indulge in cool partying. The Hard Rock Café, which is divided into several sections, is suitable for public and private events of all kinds. The main restaurant offers space for up to 180 persons while the lounge – approx. 30 persons – is a perfect location for smaller festivities. Concerts and stand-up receptions for up to 550 guests can be easily accommodated.

With regard to culinary delights the Hard Rock Cafe continues to rely on traditional American cooking: The smokehouse dishes, such as the tender Hard Rock Cafe spareribs (Hickory-Smoked Bar-B-Que Ribs) or the Barbecue Combo (Hickory-Smoked Bar-B-Que Combo) are smoked directly at the restaurant and served with homemade barbecue sauces. The burgers are also legendary. As a typical regional variation the “Obatzda Burger” topped with Bavarian cream cheese can be found on the Munich menu. A well-stocked bar, cult souvenirs in the Rock Shop and weekly live entertainment round off the experience. Keep on rocking!
