MucAware at the Champions Festival
MucAware was on site with awareness teams as part of the Champions Festival. MucAware is a project of AKIM (All-Party Conflict Management in Munich) and its teams offer low-threshold support for fans who feel harassed, discriminated against, threatened or otherwise unsafe. This provides targeted support directly on site for people affected by discrimination and (sexualised) violence.
The awareness teams will be available at three awareness points at the Champions Festival in the Olympiapark from 29 to 31 May from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. All members of the awareness teams will be wearing purple waistcoats with the MucAware logo and can also be contacted by phone by dialling the relevant numbers.
The awareness points are equipped with various materials for psychological or physical first aid. If necessary, affected persons are referred to the appropriate counselling or contact points in Munich. The MucAware project is organised by the Social Department of the City of Munich and uses awareness work to promote diversity and combat discrimination.
