Bikini Mitte: Deli & Bar in the center of Munich

The bowls at Bikini Mitte have an oriental-Asian touch. The base is always a chickpea curry, with a choice of quinoa, rice or couscous, plus yogurt, mango chutney and cherry tomatoes.

Not only the bowls in the corner restaurant in the city center are colorful, but also the furnishings around the turquoise-blue tiled counter. In the evening, the deli becomes a hip bar.

There are a dozen different bowls to choose from in the small eatery, which looks a bit like a gazebo. Breakfast bowls include energy boosters like berries and dates or spinach and kale.

Those who like something hot for lunch will be happy with a Pablo Esco Bowl with pulled pork or a Pink Medi Bowl with chicken. And after eating a Hangover Bowl, the hangover definitely doesn't stand a chance.

Those who opt for the Smoothie Bowls have a choice of "Vitamin," "Detox," and "Energy." They are all healthy, whether Berry, Mango or Pineapple.

For lunch, reach for the Salad Bowl; the Power Protein Salad with chickpeas, lentils and spinach and the Quinoa Salad with coconut, carrot and kale are especially recommended. Also on the menu: soups, sandwiches and huge pieces of banana bread.

The Poke Bowl originated in Hawaii in the seventies. The special features are the raw fish and the exotic sauces. At Aloha Poke, you really do feel like you're at a surf spot in Hawaii. Between furnishings of rough-hewn wood, you sit on yellow-orange barrels and spoon tropically inspired delicacies.

Rice and green salad are joined by proteins in the form of tuna, salmon or shrimp. Those who don't like fish choose turkey or tofu.

Between totem poles, voodoo masks and lots of green plants, fusion bowls are served at Katopazzo. The Marrakesh Bowl with crispy falafel, pumpkin, sweet potato and hummus has an Arabic feel.

Fans of spicy food are well served by the Gaucho Bowl with marinated beef tenderloin strips. And the Asian-inspired bowls with spinach, kimchi and roasted seaweed are also recommended.

In the airy café with the colorful concrete tiles near the Pinakotheken, everything revolves around the miracle berry açaí. Surfers once discovered the super fruit in the Brazilian rainforest. Today, açaí is used in pureed form for smoothies and bowls, and not just by Brazil's sports scene.

At Daddy Longlegs, it goes into the "Beach Bowl" - an eye-catcher and satisfier in equal measure! If you like it less sweet, try the "Earth Bowl" with quinoa, baby spinach, red cabbage and avocado.
